About Will Russell

A builder’s eye. A broker’s focus.

Will Russell is a Broker with Real Residential and a founding member of the firm’s Mercer Island office. Rooted on Mercer Island, he serves clients across Bellevue, Seattle, Kirkland, and the Eastside.

A Mercer Island native, Will brings more than two decades of experience spanning real estate, construction, remodeling, and project management. That background gives him a practical perspective on homes that goes beyond the transaction itself. He helps clients think carefully about a property’s condition, construction, remodeling potential, site characteristics, and long term value while recognizing when additional expertise from inspectors, architects, engineers, contractors, or other professionals is appropriate.

Will works with buyers and sellers across residential real estate, including luxury homes, waterfront properties, new construction, relocation, and homes with renovation or redevelopment potential. His approach is straightforward and analytical, with an emphasis on helping clients understand their options and make informed decisions.

Having grown up on Mercer Island, Will brings deep familiarity with the community and the housing stock, along with a strong understanding of the broader Seattle and Eastside market.

His philosophy is captured in a simple idea: A builder’s eye. A broker’s focus.

AI is part of the process, not the pitch.

I've built AI and other modern tools into the way I research properties, organize due diligence, analyze market information, manage follow-up and create useful client communication. It helps me connect information faster, go deeper on complex questions and stay on top of details that are easy to miss.

The technology is useful, but it's not the decision-maker. The value comes from combining it with local knowledge, construction experience and real estate judgment.

Property research

Organizing records, permits, inspections and due diligence

Market intelligence

Turning data into useful local context

Client follow-up

Keeping relationships and next steps from falling through the cracks
